You may remember back to my last post about my photo shoot and I mentioned that I was doing a fashion show in November. It’s all happened so fast and I am currently sat at Atelier in Belfast with the other models, stylists Jamie Russell and Lewis Cameron waiting to have my makeup done and admiring their stunning new collections.
Lewis Cameron presents ‘a capsule collection entitled ‘FAUXIALITE’ taking inspiration from the high-street aesthetic in which catwalk designers create the trends and then the high-street brands re-invent them to suit their own specific niche. The unisex, street style inspires collection also incorporates the ‘faux-socialite’, the celebrity ‘style-icons’ who have little to no knowledge of the world of fashion but simply dress in household names and are adores instantly. The FAUXALITE collection therefore is all about embracing individual fashion sense and recognising those who actually live and breathe fashion. They know the trends, they know the runways and they know where true style emerges. On the streets.
Jamie russell, one of Northern Ireland’s leading fashion stylists presents a variety of looks using his hand-sewn floral garments made from dried up flowers, leaves, twigs and assorted autumnal petals. Creating artistic and avant grade couture garments in an exciting and colorful, bespoke fashion twist.
They have partnered up with unisex hair salon Uber Hair who created the most phenomenal hair styles on the night. “They will be creating 12 catwalk inspired hairstyles on the night for the installation’s cutting-edge models”.
Here are some pictures of myself and other models at the show.
It was such an amazing night and I feel so privileged to have been able to work with such talented people. There also could be a *tiny* chance that I have completely fallen in love with the ‘EAT SLEEP VOGUE REPEAT’ jumper I was wearing that night and am hopefully going to be buying that one!
